Women’s Ministry at RPCC aims to see the women of our community deepen in their relationship with Jesus Christ and one another through Bible study, fellowship, and discipleship/mentoring relationships. We are a wide range of ages and life stages, but we share a common goal in our desire to be rooted in the Word of God and transformed by His grace.
Connect with Women's Ministry in 3 ways:
1. Ongoing Events
RPCC Women have experienced growth and fellowship together in bible studies, teaching nights, brunches, focused prayer time, and book clubs. We've met together in each other's homes, at the beach and even in a laundromat. They are lead by women in our church and have offered teaching on subjects such as evangelism, suffering, and godliness.
This semester we are focusing on serving & studying through two ongoing events:
Fellowship & Hospitality at Sarah's Circle
We have the privilege of getting to know women staying at Sarah's Circle. One Tuesday a month, a small team from RPCC provide fellowship for the women at the shelter. If you're interested in joining the team, we definitely would love to talk to you! Email email@example.com with subject line 'sarah's circle'.
All RPCC women and their friends are welcome to join in on our bi-weekly study. We rotate hosts and facilitators and enjoy getting to know new attendees, so please email firstname.lastname@example.org for date and location.
If you would like to host or lead a Bible Study this summer, let us know!
Day Retreats in the city
Each Fall/Winter, we gather in Chicago for a daylong retreat. Last year, we were fortunate to feature our Rogers Park neighbor and Moody Professor, Dr. Rosalie DeRosset. Her teaching from her book, Unseduced and Unshaken, impressed on the minds of all attenders. We're looking forward to another gathering soon and will post details here.
This past Fall we gathered at a nearby home for fellowship, worship, and some Reader's Theatre based on our experiences at Sarah's Circle.
Overnight Retreats out of the city
For the past 6 years, the women of RPCC have planned and enjoyed an annual spring/summer Retreat. These weekends away are intended to reconnect with Christ through worship, teaching sessions, prayer, and fellowship. Speakers have included Wheaton Graduate in Theology, Megan Nesson; The Orchard Evangelical's women's ministry coordinator in Itasca, Sheila Clark; and precious sisters from our own body. We'd love for you to join us this spring, check back for details.
